New travel conditions in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein: mandatory testing!

In the context of the appearance of the new variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, classified by the WHO as worrying, starting with December 4, 2021, the conditions for entry into the Swiss Confederation are modified, as follows:

  • All persons wishing to travel to Switzerland, regardless of the country of arrival or the means of transport used, must present the negative result of a PCR test, carried out no later than 72 hours in advance.
  • In addition, all persons arriving in Switzerland must be tested at their own expense within four to seven days of arrival. The result of the second test, PCR or rapid antigen, must be sent to the cantonal health authority.

These regulations also apply to people who have been vaccinated and recovered from the disease. People up to the age of 16 and cross-border people are excluded.

All persons wishing to enter the territory of the Swiss Confederation must also register their contact details before completing their journey. registration form and present it at the border crossing, in electronic or paper format.
