Norwegian ordered 30 from Airbus A321LR aircraft

Norwegian, one of Europe's largest low-cost carriers, has placed an order for 30 Airbus A321LR aircraft. The transition from 30 of A320neo aircraft to 30 of A321LR units will support the growth and development strategy of the Norwegian air carrier. Will become the first low-cost carrier of A321LR aircraft.

Norwegian (Norwegian Air Shuttle AS) operates flights to Europe, North America and Asia, and is rapidly expanding its low-cost operations. The new aircraft will be configured in a single travel class and will have a capacity of approximately 220 seats.

Airbus A321LR will be the youngest member of the A320neo family. It will be able to fly on longer routes, with the manufacturer announcing a range of up to 7408 kilometers. A321LR will provide additional flexibility in the operational regime. It will have the largest autonomy in the single-aisle aircraft market, making it ideal for transatlantic routes and will allow airlines to access new markets over long distances. The first deliveries will start in 2019.
