Data retrieved from the black box of the Boeing 737-800 China Eastern Airlines aircraft on flight MU5735 indicates that someone in the cockpit the plane crashed, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal.

Citing people familiar with the preliminary assessment of the incident by US officials, the Wall Street Journal reports that initial findings suggest that the aircraft was deliberately placed in a fatal position.

The China Eastern Boeing 737-800 was flying from Kunming to Guangzhou on March 21, 2022, when it suddenly crashed from its cruising altitude of 29.000 ft, killing all the people on board - 132 passengers and crew.

U.S. officials involved in the investigation focused on the actions of one pilot, although they do not rule out the possibility of someone else entering the cockpit and causing the crash, the WSJ reported, citing people in the investigation.

There is information from a preliminary report, but the investigation is ongoing and there is much more information to correlate. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have not responded immediately to media inquiries and have not yet released official statements on the possible cause.

We are waiting for the final report!
