Wizz Air has opened its first operational base in Germany, in Dortmund. 3 Airbus A320 aircraft were allocated and 18 new routes were announced. They complement Dortmund's Wizz Air operational program, which includes another 30 routes.
The 3 Airbus A320 aircraft support operations to 18 destinations: Alghero, Bari, Catania, Naples, Athens, Corfu, Heraklion, Rhodes, Santorini, Thessaloniki, Fuerteventura, Lisbon, Marrakech, Podgorica, Reykjavik, Suceava, Split and Zaporizhia. Wizz Air operations in Dortmund have been expanded to 48 destinations in 2020.
Among the new announced routes is Suceava - Dortmund, a route inaugurated by Wizz Air on August 3, 2020. According to the existing operational program, Wizz Air flies twice a week between Suceava and Dortmund, on Mondays and Fridays.
