SWISS decided to cancel 676 of the 31 414 flights scheduled for the period August- October, because lack of staff.

"These reductions, which account for about 2% of the planned flight schedule, result in further reductions in frequencies, but SWISS continues to provide the link between Switzerland and Europe and to destinations around the world. For example, flights between Zurich and Vienna will continue to be operated by SWISS's sister company, Austrian Airlines, probably until the end of the 2022/23 winter schedule. Of the 31414 flights scheduled between August and October, SWISS intends to reduce 676 flights", It is shown in the communiqué.

SWISS had already announced in early June that it would cancel 370 of the 18500 flights scheduled for July and August, also due to staff shortages. "Other reductions, unfortunately, cannot be avoided in the coming months due to lack of resources and operational challenges in the aviation industry.Said a SWISS spokesman.
