Wizz Air Abu Dhabi is postponing the launch of flights until November 16, 2020
Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, the new airline in the United Arab Emirates, is postponing the launch of flights until November 16, 2020. Initially the flight launch deadline was October 1, 2020.
Due to travel restrictions created by COVID-19, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi is informing its passengers that it will postpone the launch of its operations for two weeks, until November 16, 2020.
With a fleet of 2 aircraft Airbus A321neo, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi will have the lowest environmental footprint and the lowest operating costs in the region. The airline's initial route network includes Alexandria, Athens, Kutaisi, Larnaca, Odessa and Yerevan.
Passengers with reservations affected by this change will be automatically informed by e-mail, if customers have booked directly on wizzair.com or via the airline's mobile app.
120% of the initial fee will be automatically charged to the customer's WIZZ account, which can be used for 24 months to purchase Wizz Air products and services. Passengers can opt for a cash refund and will be informed of the steps required for a bank transfer or bank card transfer via a separate email.
In this case, customers will be eligible for only 100% of the initial rate. Passengers who have made their reservations through travel agencies - including online travel agencies - should contact the company from which they purchased their tickets. Although it is beyond the control of the airline, Wizz Air sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience caused.
