The inaugural flight: IAŞI - Barcelona with Blue Air

From 27 to March 2016, Blue Air inaugurated the IASI - Barcelona route. Thus, for the first time, Iaş is directly connected to a destination in Spain.

The launch of the new race was marked by a festive event, which took place in the new passenger terminal of the airport in Iasi. Mr. Press attended the press conference. Marius BODEA, President of the Board of the Iasi International Airport, Mr. Tudor CONSTANTINESCU, Economic Director of Blue Air, and Dr. Irina Vasilescu, President of the International Cultural Center.

The moment of the inaugural flight was marked by the cutting of the Barcelona-themed cake, but also by a series of artistic moments: Spanish dance performed by the dancers of the Roman Opera Iasi, as well as a reading moment in Spanish (poetry and prose) offered by a student at the Master at the "Al.I.Cuza" University, on a musical background of the Spanish guitar. In parallel, on the new runway of Iasi Airport took place the traditional "christening" of the aircraft, with the water cannon, moment caught in the photos.

Starting yesterday, Iasi can fly directly to Barcelona (El Prat) twice a week, following the following flight schedule valid for the period: 27 March 2016 - 29 October 2016:

TUESDAY and SUNDAY
Departure IAS time 07: 00 - arrival BCN time 09: 35
Departure BCN time 10: 35 - arrival IAS time 15: 00

Iasi-barcelona-blue air

For 2016, Mr. Tudor CONSTANTINESCU, Economic Director of Blue Air, estimated about 350 000 of passengers transported from / to IAŞI. Currently, Blue Air Company operates direct flights to and from Iaşi PARIS (Beauvais), LONDON (Luton), ROME (Fiumicino). Following that in the following period he will inaugurate two routes: BRUSSELS, on 30 Marchor KöLN, on 3 June. Blue Air also operates domestic flights on the Iasi - Bucharest route (Otopeni), and from October 1 2016 will also inaugurate triangular route Iasi-Cluj-Timişoara-Iasi.
