I think everyone heard the slogan "Their match, our final!„. Here I mean the grand finale Uefa Europa League (the former Uefa Cup) which will take place tomorrow evening at the National Arena in Bucharest. The two finalists arrived in Romania last night, and since then supporters have started to arrive.

About 80 charters were announced tomorrow with over 18.000 fans aboard the aircraft! 9 will be the busiest day in Otopeni Airport's history. We can say that this sports final is a test for local authorities, but also for Henri Coanda Airport.

Charter flights will be operated by medium-sized aircraft - Boeing 737, Airbus A320 - but large aircraft are not excluded as was the case last night, when a Boeing 747-400 landed on Baneasa.

To these special races, there are also added the line races that have a loading degree of almost 100%. The TAROM, Blue Air, Wizz Air and Carpatair companies have not made any changes to the program. Blue Air flights from Spain have occupancy between 95% and 100%, and TAROM supplemented the capacity by changing the aircraft on the Bucharest - Madrid - Bucharest flights from 8, 10 and 11 May. Expected over 50 000 football fans, 18 000 representing supporters of the 2 Spanish teams.

Until the Europa League final, the biggest events held in Bucharest with excess traffic in "Otopeni" were the Francophonie Summit in 2006 and the NATO Summit in 2008, but both with several thousand guests abroad.
