TAROM transported, in the 1117th domestic flight to Cluj-Napoca, the 3 millionth passenger, thus marking the historical maximum recorded by Avram Iancu Cluj-Napoca International Airport, since its opening.
The airport's 3 millionth passenger received as a gift round-trip tickets for two people, valid for any TAROM international or domestic flight. Nicoleta Ababei, the 3 millionth passenger of the Cluj airport, is one of the 1.997.000 passengers of the TAROM company who trusted Romania's national transport operator in 2023.

TAROM, with more than 60 years of operating the domestic route Bucharest - Cluj-Napoca, marks the anniversary of its partner, Avram Iancu International Airport Cluj - Napoca, and announces that, for this destination increasingly chosen by Romanian and international passengers, it will increase by 10% the number of Cluj races in 2024.
"Between January and October 2023, we operated 10.546 regular flights, of which 4.307 were domestic flights, Cluj having a percentage of 24% of them. Of the total number of passengers this year, registered at the end of October 2023, respectively 1.997.000, 624.256 were on domestic flights, of which 185.643 arrived at this airport” communicates Narcis Obeada, the commercial director of TAROM, present in Cluj.
He also added that, against the backdrop of the company's restructuring operations, the strategy for 2024 is extremely important for the company's business, and that the commercial targets for next year will be communicated soon.
