The Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee together with TAROM organizes the cross "Olympic Day" on 25 May 2012 starting at 08: 30, in the Youth Park.
Moving lovers of all ages are expected, on 25 May 2012, starting at 08: 30, at the TAROM Olympic cross. The meeting will take place at the entrance to the Youth Park, in front of Gheorghe Şincai National College, from where, at the 10: 00 hours, the competition organized by the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee will start in partnership with TAROM, the official carrier of the lot that will represent Romania at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
The competition will take place in three age categories, across different distances. Competitors aged between 10 and 14 years will follow a route of 1800 m on the main paved driveways of the park, and those aged between 15 and 18 years will have a distance of 3, 5 km, near the lake in the park premises, as well as the runners in the open category, where there is no age limit.
All participants will receive a shirt and the first three from each age category, both female and male, will be able to enjoy additional rewards. Those who will cross the finish line first will win a bicycle. The occupants of the second positions will receive a pair of reels, and those who will rank in the third place will get a rocket and a set of tennis balls. The school that will have the largest number of participants will receive a cup from the organizers.
