Air France teams in Paris and around the world are already mobilized to prepare the arrival in France of athletes, supporters and journalists for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Air France, partner of the Paris 2024 bid

Since 2016, Air France has supported the bid of the city of Paris to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024. No less than 10 of the company's planes have been decorated for this occasion, bearing for years in a row the insignia of the stylized Eiffel Tower with the numbers 24.

In September 2017, the French delegation led by Tony Estanguet returned victorious from Lima aboard Air France, following the designation of Paris as the host city of the 2024 Games. And on August 9, 2021, after five years in Japan, the Olympic flame flew to Paris on board an Air France plane at the end of the closing ceremony of the Tokyo 2020 Games. Received at Paris-Charles de Gaulle by the company's crews, the French delegation then announced the official launch of the countdown to July 26, 2024, the date of the opening ceremony of Paris 2024 Games.

A record at the 1992 Albertville Games – the fastest Olympic flame in history.

Air France has carried French and international sports delegations to the Olympic Games since 1952.

The official international carrier of the 1992 Albertville (Savoie) Olympic Games and official partner of the French Olympic and Paralympic team at this edition, Air France set a historic record by transporting the Olympic flame from Athens to Paris at a speed of 2.200 km/h , on board the Concorde plane. This became the fastest Olympic flame in history, marking a remarkable moment in the company's history.
