On April 20, Airbus delivered the first A321neo from aviation history! Virgin America was the launch customer. The aircraft is powered by engines CFM LEAP-1A, and the manufacturer guarantees significant reductions in consumption and carbon emissions.
Airbus A321neo is the largest aircraft in the A320neo family. It is an aircraft optimized for medium and regional flights, ensuring greater comfort for passengers. At the same time, it comes with a package with multiple economic facilities for airline operators.

The new Airbus A321neo aircraft is part of an order of 10 units. It can carry 185 passengers in a configuration with 3 classes: 8 seats at Business Class, 18 seats at Premium Economy and 159 seats at Economy Class.
Virgin America owns a fleet of 63 aircraft from the A320 family: 53 from A320-200 aircraft, 10 from A319-100 aircraft. It also has 30 of Airbus A320neo aircraft, which will be delivered during the 2020-2022 period.
However, as I announced at the time, Alaska Airlines has announced a merger with Virgin America. All orders recorded by Virgin America will be handled by Alaska Airlines. In the near future, the Virgin America brand will disappear.
