On 26 May 2014, Asiana Airlines it came into the possession of the first Airbus A380 of the fleet and became the 11 air carrier with superjumbo. I kept you up to date with information from the delivery ceremony, but now I come back with more pictures and new information.

The South Korean company ordered six A380 units, all configured with three classes: 12 seats at First Class (lower deck), 66 seats at Business Class (upper deck) and 417 seats at Economy Class (311 seats at lower deck and 106 on the upper deck). The aircraft will be powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 900 engines.

From June 13, the aircraft will be used on short flights to accommodate the crew, to destinations such as Tokyo-Narita, Osaka, Hong Kong or Bangkok. As of August 15, A380 Asiana Airlines will enter long-haul flights, the first destination being Los Angeles.

Asiana Airlines has a widebody fleet modernization project, also in charge of 30 Airbus A350 XWB aircraft. The A380 and A350 aircraft will complement the existing Airbus fleet at Asiana Airlines, which includes aircraft from the A330 and A320 families.
