Blue Air, the first smart flying company in Romania, launches the joint Check-in system to reduce the waiting time of passengers, before traveling by plane.

Joint check-in

In order to increase the comfort of the passengers and to improve the quality of the services offered, starting with 8 July 2013, Blue Air introduced the common Check-in system for all flights departing from Henri Coanda International Airport (Otopeni).

Check-in counters, now called Baggage Handing Offices, will open with 3 hours and 30 minutes before take-off time, to streamline traffic and activity within Henri Coanda International Airport (Otopeni). In this respect, there will be no dedicated ticket offices for each flight, and the ticket offices will be available for all Blue Air flights that take off with up to 3.5 hours less.

"The joint Check-in system is successfully used by the world's largest airline companies and Blue Air customers will certainly feel an improvement in the Check-in service compared to the traditional one. Thus, passengers will have several open desks at the same time, the waiting time will be reduced for handing over luggage at the airport, and passengers will have more time to complete the Security and Border formalities or to benefit from the facilities offered by the commercial area. Henri Coanda International Airport (Otopeni) ”

explained Gheorghe Racaru, General Manager of Blue Air.

From the discussions we had with the representatives of Blue Air, I understood that a solution is being sought to keep these counters fixed every day. It would be useful and practical for Blue Air passengers as they will know exactly the check-in desks and without following the information desk at the airport.
