Boeing has begun research for an expanded version of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Even if we are just talking about an extension of the fuselage and the increase of the transport capacity up to 310-330 of passengers, the American producer has a little more work until the official launch.

Boeing 787 Dreamliner is the result of innovations. It is the first passenger aircraft built largely of composite materials, ensuring greater fuel economy and lower maintenance costs. 787 broke two world records - for range autonomy (440,924 to 551,155 lbs), flying a full 19.142 km to Dhaka, Bangladesh and made the fastest trip around the world for the same weight class at a cruising speed of 871 km / h.

The expansion project has the support of the airlines, but it wants to focus on reduced fuel consumption. Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner could compete with Airbus A330 / 340 / 350 and Boeing 777-200ER aircraft. Boeing is currently lagging behind in the production of the 787-8 Dreamliner (60%) and the 787-9 Dreamliner (40%). Boeing said it was accelerating production in early November by announcing production of 5 units per month. It is hoped that at the end of 2013 units will reach 10 per month.
