British Airways is adding two destinations from the Azores in the 2022 summer schedule

British Airways has announced that it will add the islands of São Miguel (Ponta Delgada) and Terceira in the beautiful Azores archipelago to its network of short-haul routes from London Heathrow Airport, starting next summer. The Azores is the first archipelago in the world to be certified as a sustainable Earth Check destination.

Neil Chernoff, Director of Networking and British Airways Alliances, said: "After 18 difficult months, it's fantastic to be able to launch two new routes - next summer - from London Heathrow Airport. These two islands in the Azores will be the perfect complement to our network, offering more options to one of the most popular regions in Europe for the British. ”

London Heathrow - Ponta Delgada, with British Airways.

The route to São Miguel (Ponta Delgada) will be launched on July 2 and will run until September 3, being a weekly rotation - every Saturday - to the Portuguese destination. The flight will be operated with an Airbus A320 aircraft.

London Heathrow - Terceira (Azores), with British Airways.

The route to Terceira will be launched on July 10 and will run until September 3, being a weekly rotation - every Sunday - to the Portuguese destination. The flight will be operated with an Airbus A320 aircraft.
