Last weekend, one of the last Boeing 747 British Airways planes took off for the last time, with the final destination being Dunsfold Airfield in Surrey, United Kingdom.
Painted in Landor livery (used by British Airways between 1984 and 1997), the Boeing 747-400 aircraft, registered as G-BNLY, took off for the last time from Cardiff Airport (CWL) to Dunsfold Airport in Surrey on December 5. 2020.
The plane entered the fleet British Airways on February 1, 1993. Since then, it has operated 14.016 flights, flown over 122.358 hours and over 96 million km. The last commercial flight was Cape Town - London Heathrow, on March 22, 2020.
