Update NEVER! TAROM changed its mind about the direct flights between Bucharest and Moscow, with the reservation system being only those operated in the codeshare with Aeroflot!
TAROM it surprises us at the beginning of the week and puts in the operational program, without too much hype, direct flights to Moscow. These will take effect from March 3 2014 and will be operated according to the following schedule:
RO241: Bucharest 21:55 - 0: 25 + 1 Moscow Sheremetyevo - Airbus A318 - Monday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday
RO242: Moscow Sheremetyevo 06:25 - 07:05 Bucharest - Airbus A318 - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
I think the new flights will complement Aeroflot's offer and offer more alternatives to passengers. As far as I checked, TAROM will continue to fly in codeshare with the Russian air carrier, being from the same airline alliance.
Let's hope we get better rates. Following the simulations made, the fares for Bucharest - Moscow - Bucharest will start from 374 EUR (with all taxes included), on TAROM flights, but also on those operated by Aeroflot.
