Entry conditions in Tunisia: molecular test type RT-PCR with negative result for COVID-19

From an epidemiological point of view, the state of health emergency is not established. From a security point of view, the Tunisian authorities extend the state of emergency on a monthly basis.

Romanian citizens are allowed to travel to Tunisia

It is allowed to travel Romanian citizens to Tunisia, including for short trips (less than 5 days), provided that a molecular test type RT-PCR is presented with a negative result for SARS-CoV-2 infection, not exceeding 72 hours at the time of travel. Children under the age of 12 are exempt from this measure.

Isolation 7 days at your own expense

Passengers traveling to Tunisia are obliged to quarantine at their own expense for a period of seven days, in one of the specially arranged centers / accredited hotels. Passengers are also required to present the document certifying the reservation and confirmation of payment of accommodation expenses in the quarantine center (voucher).

It's necessary performing a PCR molecular test for SARS-CoV-2 virus infection on the seventh day of quarantine, at its own expense. If the test is negative, the person concerned may leave the quarantine center, in compliance with the necessary preventive health measures.

Categories exempted from the above measures:

  • passengers arriving in Tunisia through a travel agency;
  • passengers traveling to Tunisia for a journey of less than 120 hours;
  • passengers holding a residence permit in Tunisia and returning to that country after a stay not exceeding 120 hours abroad.

Careful! The Tunisian authorities maintain the suspension of air and sea flights to and from all states that have registered the emergence and spread of the new strain of SARS-CoV-2 virus, namely the United Kingdom, South Africa and Brazil.

2. The health form and the commitment form: All passengers arriving in Tunisia must complete, prior to the journey, the health declaration and the commitment form (available on the website: https://app.e7mi.tn), print them and sign them. The two documents (health form and entry form) are handed over to the public health service at the checkpoints.

3. Preventive measures, in particular those relating to physical distance and the wearing of a protective mask, must be observed throughout the journey.
