SkyUp has signed a contract with Wizz Air for one year, from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025. The contract provides for the lease of three SkyUp aircraft under ACMI conditions. Two of these aircraft will be based in Bucharest (OTP) and another in Warsaw (WAW).

"Transport development under ACMI contracts is currently a central component of our development strategy. Signing the contract with Wizz Air is an important milestone for us, as we already have a positive experience of cooperation with this air carrier. This once again confirms that SkyUp is a reliable partner for the European leaders in air transport and can provide a high level of safety and quality of service”, says Dmytro Sieroukhov, CEO of SkyUp.

"We are happy to announce our partnership with SkyUp. Their commitment to operational excellence and dedication to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism aligns perfectly with our values, as proven during our past experiences. This summer we aim to keep the standards high in working with SkyUp to provide exceptional service to our passengers”, says Mauro Peneda, head of the Operations Control Center at Wizz Air.

As early as 2022, SkyUp started the development of a new business direction – operating flights for other airlines in accordance with the terms of ACMI contracts. The list of airlines with which SkyUp has already cooperated includes Tunisair, FlyOne, HiSky SRL, HiSky Europe SRL, Wizz Air Malta, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, Corendon Dutch, Tailwind Airlines and FlyEgypt. In the summer of 2023, ch-aviation included SkyUp Airlines in the list of the 20 largest ACMI service providers in the European airspace.
