Coronavirus: Qatar bans all international flights
Tonight, Sunday, March 15, 2020, Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani issued several directives to combat the spread of coronavirus in Qatar.
Obviously, these include the directive that prohibits the entry of foreign nationals into Qatar, with the exception of Qatars and residents. The Emir ordered all international flights to Doha to be halted, starting on Wednesday evening, March 18, for 14 days, except for freight and transit flights.
Qatarians can enter Qatar, regardless of their country of origin, provided they are quarantined for a period of 14 days. Residents of Qatar were urged to avoid travel in the following period.
We'll be back with flight details! We look forward to seeing the position of Qatar Airways.
