The temperatures will be higher than normal, both on Christmas and on New Year's Eve, and the level of precipitation will be close to the usual one during this period, the National Meteorological Administration (ANM) informed on Friday, December 2. Meteorologists estimate that between December 5, 2022 and January 2, 2023, temperatures will be above normal for this period, and precipitation amounts will be abundant until mid-December, then will approach normal.
It matters less what the weather will be like until Christmas, but we are interested in what the weather will be like at Christmas because we want to know if Santa Claus will come by sleigh or by car / plane.
During the week of December 19-26, average temperatures will be slightly higher than normal
for this period, in most regions. The rainfall regime will be close to the normal one for this interval, at the level of the entire country.
Thus, normally, at the level of the entire country, we should record temperature values between 0 degrees in the northern part of Moldova, up to 2-3 degrees in the southern part of the country, throughout the day, but also in the center of the territory , in Transylvania, temperatures of 0-1 degrees. Which means there isn't much of a chance of snow in most parts of the country, but it's sure to rain. Maybe on the mountain we can see the snow and enjoy it!
