In a typical week, more than 50.000 travelers connect to their preferred destination on codeshare or interline flights operated by Emirates' many partners. The airline's many partnerships developed over the years have helped fuel its growth, enabled frictionless connectivity for customers, strengthened reciprocity of loyalty and tapped into unique markets that generated new traffic flows.

While Emirates' business strategy has always been to grow organically, its strategic partnerships, such as interline and codeshare agreements, help expand operations globally, enabling the airline's customers to reach far-flung destinations beyond its own network.

Since signing its first interline agreement, Emirates' global partner network has grown exponentially across Europe, North America, Asia, Australia, Africa and the Middle East.

Today, the airline has 29 codeshare partnerships, 117 interline and 11 intermodal rail connections in the transport ecosystem in more than 100 countries, offering a wide range of travel options through flexible schedules for travelers and offering seamless connectivity to more than 800 destinations. For example, in the Americas you can travel via Emirates partnerships beyond major hubs such as Corpus Christi via United and Halifax with Air Canada.

In Asia, travelers have opportunities to travel to various cities such as Koi Samui in Thailand and Luang Prabang in Laos with partner Bangkok Airways. In Africa, South African Airways and Kenya Airways connect Emirates customers to a number of destinations such as Vilanculos, Kilanmanjaro, Juba and Maputo. For customers of those airlines flying Emirates, connecting to the carrier's network of more than 140 destinations via Dubai is at hand.

Last year, Emirates signed codeshare and interline agreements with 11 airlines. In addition to the foundational codeshare agreements with United Airlines and Air Canada, which have expanded the airline's connectivity to more than 570 points in the Americas, Emirates has also signed with Airlink, Aegean Airlines, Air Tanzania, ITA Airways, Bamboo Airways, Batik Air, Philippine Airlines, Royal Air Maroc and SKY Express, offering customers network expansion options. The airline also recently announced an interline agreement with Kenya Airways.
