Finnair took possession of the first Airbus A321 with Sharklets

Finnair it came into the possession of the first Airbus A321 cu Sharklets. It is part of an order of 5 aircraft and is the first A321 with Sharklets delivered by Airbus. This model is the largest of the A320 family. The aircraft was officially handed over to Ville Iho, Finnair Chief Operating Officer, during a ceremony held at the Airbus base in Hamburg, Germany.

The new A321 aircraft will replace the current 757-200, and Finnair will become a carrier with a fleet formed solely on Airbus aircraft. Currently, the Finnish carrier operates 40 of Airbus aircraft (25 of A320 units and 15 A330 / A340).

It also has an order of 11 A350 XWB units, the first being expected in 2015.
