Due to a national strike in Italy, scheduled for 7 September, air traffic could be affected between 13:00 and 17:00 (UTC + 3), warns the European air service provider Eurocontrol. The strike is organized by the air traffic controllers of the Italian Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC).

Due to this strike, the following air navigation services may be affected: the airspace controlled by Brindisi, Milan, Padua and Rome and by each airport in the country. Certain flights (state, medical, humanitarian, intercontinental traffic, etc.) are still able to operate. Unfortunately, Italy has a history of national strikes, and the possible impact of this strike is unknown.

Wizz Air, one of the largest low-cost airlines in Europe, has announced a series of flights canceled or postponed due to this strike. List of flights delayed or canceled by Wizz Air between Romania and Italy, on September 7. It is not excluded that flights will also be affected by Blue Air, RYANAIR, TAROM.

Alitalia, Italy's national airline, was forced to cancel more than 70 flights, 20 of which are international. Flights to Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Madrid, Barcelona, ​​London, Frankfurt, Munich and Athens were canceled.
