At Dubai Airshow 2017, flyDubai signed an agreement with Boeing for 225 of 737 MAX aircraft. The order was valued at 27 billion. This is the largest order for a single-aisle aircraft, which has been placed by an air carrier in the Middle East.
The battle of major aircraft manufacturers continues at Dubai Airshow 2017. Last days I announced to you orders for 430 Airbus A320neo aircraft, which was placed by Indigo Partners. Today we are talking about the agreement signed by flyDubai and Boeing for 225 of 737 MAX aircraft.
225 of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft
The agreement includes a commitment for 175 of 737 MAX aircraft and the possibility to supplement the order with another 50 of 737 MAX units. 50 aircraft, of the first 175 ordered, will be of the type 737 MAX 10. This is the largest aircraft in the 737 MAX family and will have the best operational cost. The agreement also includes orders for 737 MAX 8 and 737 MAX 9.

Currently, flyDubai has 3 737 MAX 8 aircraft and is expected to receive another 3 by the end of the year. In total, the FlyDubai fleet counts 59 of all Boeing aircraft. The orders placed add up to 298 of Boeing 737 family aircraft.
To date, the 737 MAX family of aircraft has registered orders for 4000 units from 92 customers. The aircraft are powered by the latest CFM International LEAP-1B engines.
