A wide-body aircraft, model Airbus A330-200, will enter the HiSky fleet by the end of this year. The aircraft, with a flight range of over 13.400 km, will be the first of this type registered in Romania.

HiSky thus becomes the only airline operator in Romania that will perform regular long-haul flights, after a period of more than 20 years. With this strategic acquisition, the company joins the select club of top operators that offer direct flights from anywhere in Europe to both the Americas and distant destinations in Asia.

The announcement of the expansion of the company's capabilities with a wide-body aircraft comes just six months after another premiere brought by HiSky to the Romanian market, the introduction into operation of two A321neo aircraft, production 2023.

With the introduction of an aircraft with an autonomy of over 14 hours into the HiSky fleet, flights departing from Romania to distant destinations will no longer be limited or conditioned by stopovers at the major airports in Europe. Depending on passenger preferences, the company will be able to open direct routes to any major economic or tourist center in the world.

The new Airbus A330 is the eighth aircraft to enter the HiSky fleet. At the moment, the airline operates 7 Airbus aircraft from the A320 family, namely one A319 aircraft, four A320 aircraft and two A321 neo aircraft, due in 2023. Along with the expansion of the fleet and the portfolio of destinations, HiSky is also increasing its team. The company is running a continuous recruitment campaign for pilots and flight attendants.
