IAG (Iberia and British Airways) in 2016: over 100 millions of passengers carried

Airlines Aer Lingus, British Airways, Iberia and Vueling, which are part of IAG (International Airlines Group), have transported in total 100.6 million passengers, increasing by 14% compared to the same period of year 2015.

On 21 January 2017, IAG celebrates 6 years since its establishment, and the airlines continue to develop their operational networks. 2016 was the best year for IAG airline operators, with an average load factor of 81.6%.

Willie Walsh, the executive director of IAG, praises Iberia (with the subsidiary Iberia Express) for the developments in 2016. Following the restructuring, the Spanish carrier has become more financially and operationally strong.
