In the 2016 summer season, United Airlines will open 3 new routes, thus linking New York (Athens) with Athens and Washington to Barcelona and Lisbon.

Between May 25 and October 5, 2016, United will operate a daily flight on route New York (Newark) - Athensa. Flights will be honored with aircraft of the type Boeing 767-300ER configured in 3 classes: 30 seats in Business Class, 49 seats in Premium Economy and 135 seats in Economy. Newark departures are scheduled for 17: 50, and Athens landings will be at 10: 30, the next day. Return flights will depart from Athens at 12: 30 and arrive in the United States at 16: 30. On this route, United will compete directly with Delta Air Lines.

Also, between May 25 and September 6, 2016, United will operate flights on the route Washington-Dulles - Barcelona-El Prat. Aircraft of the type will be used Boeing 767-400ER configured in 3 classes: 39 places in Business Class, 63 places in Premium Economy and 140 places in Economy. Takeoffs from Washington are scheduled for 18:10 p.m., and landings in Barcelona are scheduled for 08:20 a.m. the next day. Return flights will take off from Spain at 11:30 and land at Dulles around 14:45. United will have no direct competitors on this route. American Airlines will operate flights to Barcelona from Miami and New York-JFK, and Delta Air Lines from Atlanta and New York-JFK.

Also from Washington-Dulles and between May 25 and September 6, 2016, United will also fly to Lisbon. The flights will be operated with aircraft of the type Boeing 757-200. Washington take-offs are scheduled for 17: 55, and landings in Lisbon for 06: 20 the next day. Return flights will depart from Portugal at 10: 50 and land in the United States at 14: 10.

In the summer of 2016, we will have more flights between destinations in the United States and European ones, and this can be translated into more affordable rates and more flexible periods.
