Join UP! Romania announces direct flights Bucharest – Zanzibar for the 2023-2024 winter season!

Starting from October 28, 2023, the tour operator Join UP! Romania, present on the local market for more than a year, will complete its portfolio, introducing new charter flights to Zanzibar. This will be achieved through the company's strategic partnership with SkyUp Airlines. Departures will take place every week from Henri Coandă Bucharest International Airport.  

Bucharest – Zanzibar charter flights

The weekly flight will take off from Bucharest at 07:30 in the direction of Zanzibar where it will land at 16:55 (local time). On the return, the takeoff will take place at 21:05 with the direction of Bucharest Henri Coandă Airport where it will land at 04:30 (local time).  

People looking to add Zanzibar to their list of holiday destinations will soon have the opportunity to explore the African continent. The flights being direct, the duration will be approximately 8-9 hours, and passengers will be transported in the safest and most comfortable conditions on board a state-of-the-art aircraft, the Airbus A321LR brand with 220 seats available for passengers and put into use in 2023.

As for the meals on board, there will be countless culinary options that travelers can enjoy, but also diversified menus that include red meat, fish or vegetarian dishes with total prices of up to 15 euros/segment. Pets are not forgotten either, they can travel by plane with their owners.

Prison Island also known as Changu Island can also be visited, and here tourists can admire both the famous sanctuary dedicated to giant turtles and the waters in different shades of turquoise.

Photography enthusiasts will be delighted to know that they will be able to observe and photograph dolphins swimming in the Indian Ocean at sunset during a cruise.

With endless gastronomic possibilities, foodies can choose from a variety of local specialties based on tuna, papaya, coconut, banana or rambutan. When it comes to dessert, Zanzibar offers tourists a special local dish, called mandazi, but also other goodies that can be found in Stone Town, the city where the famous lead singer of Queen, Freddie Mercury, was born.
