On August 31, LAN and Boeing celebrated the delivery of the first Boeing 787 Dreamliner to the Latin American operator. LAN Airlines is one of the largest airlines in Latin America and the fourth largest Boeing 787 Dreamliner in the world. 32 aircraft of this model were ordered. The delivery event took place near the factory Boeing 787, Everett, Washington.
LAN is based in Santiago, Chile and the first routes operated with 787 will be Buenos Aires, Lima, Los Angeles, Madrid and Frankfurt. The aircraft will enter commercial routes starting next month, and the above-mentioned routes will be gradually opened in the first year of operation.
