LOT Polish Airlines has opened two new routes in the Hungarian capital, Budapest, connecting the city to two of the largest tourist destinations in Europe.

LOT Polish Airlines, a Star Alliance member, began flying from Budapest Airport (BUD) towards Dubrovnik (DBV), Croatia and Varna (VAR), Bulgaria. As of July 4, both routes are operated once a week with Embraer E195 aircraft.

LOT CEO Rafał Milczarski noted that the LOT airline is "working hard" to restore operational capacity ready for 2020.

"Currently, passengers can benefit from about 250 flights per week, and this number is constantly increasing.", Said Milczarski. "Just a few weeks after the resumption of passenger flights in Poland, LOT has re-established almost 70% of the destinations planned for 2020, including a few dozen international flights and the first long-haul flights."
