Lufthansa increases the frequency of flights to Palma de Mallorca in the summer season

Lufthansa is taking extraordinary steps to respond to a significant increase in the demand for flight reservations to Palma de Mallorca, both from Frankfurt and Munich. The demand for bookings for popular holiday destinations in Spain has increased 25 times between April and early June 2021.

Thus, the airline will operate a Boeing 747-8 aircraft, from Frankfurt to Palma de Mallorca, in four days on Saturday, during the summer vacation in Hesse. In addition, the airline intends to operate an Airbus A350, from Munich to the Balearic Islands, at the beginning of the summer vacation in Bavaria. Flights are normally operated by Airbus A321 aircraft.

The Boeing 747-8 is the largest aircraft currently operated by Lufthansa, offering up to 364 seats. This wide-body aircraft offers passengers 88 seats in Business class and 276 seats in Economy class. The Boeing 747-8 aircraft, also known as "The queen of the sky", will operate flights for four weeks, on July 17, July 24, July 31 and August 7.
