The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs that, following the steps taken by the Crisis Cell, 346 Romanian and foreign citizens were repatriated from Israel, on the night of Saturday to Sunday, with two flights operated by the company TAROM - 189 the first flight, respectively 157 with the second second flight -, measure taken in the context of the deterioration of the security situation in the State of Israel and the Gaza Strip.
The MFA informs that a mobile consular team from the Romanian Embassy in Tel Aviv and the Romanian Representative Office in Ramallah went to Ben Gurion Airport to provide consular assistance to Romanian citizens at the airport.
"At the same time, the representatives of the Crisis Cell of the MAE coordinated with the Israeli authorities and the Romanian Patriarchate for the management of groups of Romanian citizens and Romanian pilgrims at Ben Gurion Airport, in order to ensure their accommodation, until repatriation solutions are identified. The MFA uses this opportunity to thank the Israeli authorities for the support provided for the safe repatriation of Romanian citizens", says a press release from the ministry.

The MFA reiterates the recommendation addressed to Romanian citizens who intend to travel to the State of Israel to reschedule their trip and follow the "Travel alerts” from the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
