According to the survey conducted by Vola.ro and Flip.ro, 86% of Romanians use the phone to plan their vacation, while only 14% now use a laptop or computer for this process, inform techzoom.ro.
The result is further proof that today's smartphones, which have increasingly complex operating systems behind them, are increasingly replacing the functions of a computer, especially since they have the advantage of portability, being able to be taken everywhere.
85% of Romanians find the mobile phone very useful during vacations, while 15% claim that they use it only when necessary, which means that it has become an almost indispensable accessory during travel.
Regarding the heavy use of the phone on vacation, 58.8% of respondents claim that they have it in their hand throughout the vacation, 26.%% say that they use it more at the airport, before boarding, while the rest mentioned mobile phone use rather at accommodation or on the plane.
When it comes to the purpose for which they use their phone on vacation, Romanians have the following options: taking photos and videos of their vacation, communicating with those at home, checking the route on Google Maps, searching for restaurants or tourist attractions of interest, making reservations online, making online payments or using social networks.
These options show that the smartphone today is more than just a device from which calls are made, it has the role of simplifying a good part of the processes we deal with every day, including those related to planning and good development of our holidays.
