As of today, July 13, all passengers arriving at Henri Coandă International Airport from the countries on the yellow list can use the green flow, without DSP control, if they present a European digital COVID certificate or a PCR test performed no later than 72 hours before boarding.

Passengers arriving from countries on the red list may also use the green flow, but only if they present a European COVID digital certificate. Please note that digital certificates issued by the UK (or other non-EU countries) are not valid for greenway access.

The European digital certificate COVID facilitates the passage through Otopeni airport

Don't get me wrong. Vaccination in the UK is ok and the document obtained is relevant, but it is not valid to enter the green corridor at the airport. To benefit from this facility, passengers must present this document to airport staff at the greenway access point.

To clarify the situation of the European covid digital certificate, we mention that it can be obtained after vaccination or after testing. In conclusion, those vaccinated or tested for PCR can pass the DSP control more easily or can enter the green flow because they are exempt from quarantine, especially if traveling from the yellow zone to Romania.

We ask passengers to constantly update their entry information, which is subject to frequent changes.
We also insist that passengers arriving from countries on the red or yellow list fill in their form requested in advance by the Romanian health authorities. It can be downloaded from the websites of the airlines or www.mae.ro.

Given that passenger traffic in the summer season is increasing, and the rules imposed by the pandemic provide for additional controls, waiting times for formalities (check-in, border control) but also for baggage pick-up may increase during peak hours. However, they do not usually exceed waiting times at other European airports. Early presence at the airport for passengers to take off is still strongly recommended.

We remind you that Wizz Air may refuse to board passengers which does not comply with the requirements of the destination country! The same measure can be taken by other airlines! Travel informed!
