Over 30 new routes will be inaugurated in Romania (June - July 2018)
Next 2 full months (June and July) for aviation in Romania. New routes from Iasi, Bucharest, Sibiu, Cluj, Suceava and Constanța will be inaugurated over 30.
It will be a busy summer at the airports in Romania. In June and July, over 30 of new routes will be inaugurated in the near future. For the first time in Romania, we will see some new airlines.
New routes from Bucharest
From our point of view, the most important routes will be Bucharest - Montreal and Bucharest - Toronto, which will be operated by Air Canada Rouge. After 10 years, Romania will be connected with direct flights to North America.
Also from Bucharest: Blue Air will inaugurate the route Bucharest - Palma de Mallorca; Cobrex Trans will inaugurate the routes Bucharest - Suceava and Bucharest - Perugia; Ernest Airlines will operate the routes Bucharest - Verona and Bucharest - Genoa. Wizz Air will operate the route Bucharest - Kutaisi, being the first connection between Romania and Georgia. Also during this period, the Bucharest - Nice and Bucharest - Gothenburg routes will be inaugurated, both operated by Wizz Air.
TAROM is not inferior either. Starting with July 15, the national carrier will inaugurate the Bucharest - Sibiu route. It is a long-awaited route by Romanians, at the same time being an aircraft repositioning route for the new flights from Sibiu.
New routes from IAII
In the summer schedule 2018, 10 new routes will be inaugurated from IAȘI. Ernest Airlines will operate direct flights on the routes Iasi - Verona and Iasi - Cuneo. From June 11, TAROM will inaugurate the internal route Iași - Cluj-Napoca.
But most routes will be inaugurated by Wizz Air. Between June and July, flights will be launched to Eindhoven (Holland), Dortmund (Germany), Thessaloniki (Greece), Billund (Denmark), Malmo (Sweden) and Paris Beauvais (France). Let's not forget the route Iasi - Brussels.
New routes from Sibiu
The new Wizz Air routes are: Sibiu - Paris (22 June / 3 weekly flights); Sibiu - Frankfurt (22 June / 2 weekly flights); Sibiu - Brussels (21 June / 3 weekly flights); Sibiu - Basel (21 June / 2 weekly flights), Sibiu - Copenhagen (22 June / 3 weekly flights) and Sibiu - Tel Aviv (14 July / 2 weekly flights).
TAROM will launch 2 new routes from Sibiu: Bucharest - Sibiu and Sibiu - Stuttgart.
New routes from Cluj-Napoca
And the people of Cluj will enjoy new routes. Aegean Airlines will inaugurate the Cluj - Athens route. TAROM will inaugurate the internal route Cluj-Iași, but also the route Cluj-Paris. And Ellinair will open the Cluj - Heraklion route.
New routes from Constanța
Besides Blue Air's domestic and seasonal routes, “Mihail Kogălniceanu” International Airport - Constanța will enjoy new domestic and international flights. From June 16, 2018, Tallinn - Constanta - Tallinn with Nordica. TAROM announced the routes Constanța - Chisinau and Constanța - Satu Mare.
New routes from Timisoara
In the summer season 2018, TAROM will inaugurate 3 new routes departing from Timisoara: Timisoara - Chisinau, Timișoara - Stuttgart and Timișoara - Paris.
New routes from Suceava
This summer, "Stefan cel Mare" International Airport Suceava will be connected to Bucharest and Madrid through the flights operated by Cobrex Trans.
