TAROM organizes this year the "First flying lesson", an event consisting of special flights dedicated to children who want to get started in the world of aviation. This year's flights will take place on the days of 1 and 2 June 2013. Tickets went on sale from 15 to 2013.
The main partner of the event is the company OMV PETROM. Other partners are: Henri Coandă Bucharest International Airport, Alpha Rocas, GlobeGround and Heidi Chocolat.
On the occasion of Children's Day, TAROM organizes six special flights dedicated to children, during which the little ones will attend a flying lesson on their own, learn new things about pilot activity and stages of a flight and visit the cockpit.
Other surprises are being prepared for the children: junior pilot diplomas, flight manuals and more.
The courses will be conducted according to the following program:
01 June: 10.00 hours, ATR72 aircraft
11.30 hours, ATR72 aircraft
15.00 hours, ATR72 aircraft
17.00 hours, B733 type aircraft
02 June: 10.00 hours, ATR72 aircraft
11.30 hours, ATR72 aircraft
The flight will take approximately 40 minutes, with take-off and landing taking place at "Henri Coanda" International Airport. In flight, children between the ages of 3 and 18 can not participate. Children aged between 3 years of age on the day of the race and 12 years of age on the day of the race must be accompanied by an elderly person.
The promotional rate is 10 lei / child and 250 lei / adult. Minors over the age of 12 will be able to purchase a ticket according to the adult fare, but cannot be considered companions for other minor children. The aircraft were configured with a single class of travel - economical.
Tickets can be purchased from 15 to 2013 from TAROM agencies located at Henri Coandă, Splai, Piata Victoriei and Ploieşti airports, and seats are limited.
