Today, 26 November 2018, Airbus marks a new milestone. The first A330-900 TAP Air Portugal was delivered. The new generation of Airbus A330neo aircraft catches wings.
Today, 26 November 2018, the first Airbus A330-900 TAP Air Portugal was delivered. The Portuguese carrier is a launch customer for the new generation of A330neo aircraft.
The first A330-900 TAP is rented from AVOLON, and in the next few years will receive 20 of such aircraft. The aircraft is configured in 3 comfortable classes and can carry a total of 298 passengers.
There is no missing Airspace by Airbus cabin. And the aircraft configuration is: 34 of seats in Business Class, 96 of seats in Economy Plus Class and 168 of seats in Economy Class.
Airbus A330-900 TAP Air Portugal
The Airspace by Airbus cabin offers more space for passengers, luggage areas are more generous, advanced cabin lighting and a state-of-the-art entertainment system.
Today, TAP Air Portugal operates a fleet comprising 72 of Airbus aircraft: 18 aircraft A330, 4 aircraft A340 and 50 family aircraft A320.
The single-aisle aircraft fleet consists of 22 x A319ceo, 21 x A320ceo, 4 x A321ceo, 1 x A320neo and 2 x A321neo.
The new A330neo is a state-of-the-art aircraft that enjoys the success of the A330 family and integrates A350 XWB technologies. The propulsion is provided by the new high performance Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines.
Wings have also been optimized, which come equipped with Sharklets terminals designed for the best aerodynamic performance.
