The first Airbus A350-900 Iberia was assembled and painted. It will join the Iberia fleet in June.

On 17 May, Iberia presented images with the first Airbus A350-900. The aircraft was assembled and painted in the colors of the Spanish carrier. She was registered EC-MXV and named "Plácido Domingo".

The aircraft will join the Iberia fleet at the end of June. Airbus A350 Iberia aircraft will be configured in 3 classes: 31 seats in Business Class, 24 seats in Premium Economy and 293 seats in Economy Class. Propulsion is provided by 2 RR Trent XWB-84 engines.

Iberia ordered 16 Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The first A350 Iberia will operate flights in Europe, on the route Madrid - Paris Orly. It will operate a daily flight from June 27 to August 3 and August 27 to August 31.
