Ryanair has opened its 15 base in Italy at Milan Malpensa
On 1 December 2015, Ryanair inaugurated the base at Milan-Malpensa International Airport. This is the 15 in Italy for the low-cost operator, after: Alghero, Cagliari, Catania, Palermo, Trapani, Lamezia Terme, Roma Ciampino, Roma Fiumicino, Bari, Brindisi, Bergamo, Pisa, Bologna and Pescara. At the same time, Milan-Malpensa International Airport is the 26 Italian airport where Ryanair operates.
For the base from Milan-Malpensa International Airport, Ryanair made an investment of 100 million EURO, allocating an aircraft and opening 4 routes: Bucharest (4 frequencies per week), Comiso (1 daily), London Stansted (2 daily) and Seville (3 weekly). Ryanair hopes to transport up to 450 000 passengers per year, providing 340 jobs.
