The Mamaia resort has a new logo, Constanța City Hall announces. From the three finalist proposals, the jury chose Andrei Pasha's idea.

After a close competition, Resort Mamaia will soon have a new visual identity. The finalist of the contest is Andrei Pasha. "I received the great news with enthusiasm – my concept will be part of the identity of the most famous resort in Romania! This competition has become a unique opportunity, being a platform to showcase talent in the field of graphic design. I am proud to be able to put my creative shoulder to building a success story in Romanian tourism. Thank you for your trust!"

Mihai Coliban, Director of Creation and Design at Hey Punk!, said that together with the people on the jury, he chose a "identity that says very well what Mamaia is now and what it will be decades from now. Always smiling but also with dignified wrinkles, with a story at every corner of the terrace, with many skirts but with luxury shoes, with dirty jokes, but with Cărtărescu in her purse. Whether you love her to death or hate her with a passion, it doesn't leave you indifferent. Mommy is not St. Tropez, neither Cannes nor Ibiza.

It is a place with soul, with sound, with many layers and shades, where everyone, whether he comes with his girlfriend, gang or family, finds a corner just for him. The winning designer could not cover everything Mamaia is in a logo, but he captured its essence well: a place with a zest for life and a dust of colors, with intrigue and many heartbeats per minute".

Last year, a scandal broke out on the topic of the new logo of the Mamaia resort, after images appeared online with logos almost identical to the one released by the Constanța City Hall.
