Several trains, between Gara de Nord and Otopeni Airport, will be canceled between January 17-19!
CFR SA informs travelers that, between January 17-19, modernization works will be carried out on the Electronic Centralization Facility (EC) in the Bucharest North Complex. For this reason, several trains to Henri Coandă Airport will be cancelled.
Trains to Henri Coandă Airport, canceled between January 17-19
CFR SA announced, through a statement sent by News.ro, that the CFR Călători trains on the Bucharest Nord - Henri Coandă Airport route will not run temporarily. The works that will be carried out between January 17-19 will also affect the trips made by Transferoviar Călători.
The works will be carried out with the decommissioning of the Electronic Centralization Facility and the temporary closure of train traffic on the Bucharest North – Henri Coandă International Airport Bucharest T1 connection.
We mention the fact that, during the progress of the works, namely January 17 - 19, 2024, CFR SA requested the two railway passenger transport operators - CFR Călători and Transferoviar Călători - to cancel some trains scheduled in the daily traffic schedule on the Bucharest North - Airport connection International Henri Coandă Bucharest T1, the other trains running on the diverted route.
The work schedule and traffic disruptions are as follows:
- January 17-18, 2024, between 00:20 and 04:20
Trains 7903 and 7906, operated by CFR Călători and trains: 10101, 10102, 10103, 10104, 10105, 10106, operated by Transferoviar Călători, will be canceled on the Bucharest Nord – Henri Coandă Airport Terminal Bucharest T1 route.
The other trains scheduled in this time interval will run on the diverted route: Bucuresti Nord – Chitila – Mogoșoaia Branch – Mogoșoaia – Henri Coandă Airport Terminal T1.
- January 18-19, 2024, between 00:40 and 04:20
Trains: 7947, 7901, 7902, 7904, 7903, 7906, 7905, 7908, 7907, 7910, operated by CFR Călători and trains: 10101, 10102, 10103, 10104, 10105, 10106, operated by Transferoviar Căl ators, will be canceled on the connection Bucharest North – Henri Coandă Airport Terminal Bucharest T1 and return.
During the works, STB reopens line 780 Gara Basarab - Henri Coandă International Airport and provides public transport to and from the Airport on the night of January 18-19, 2024, between 23:50 and 04:32.
Thus, on the night of 18/19.01.2024, the direct connection to and from the Henri Coandă International Airport (AIHC) will be provided by the Bucharest Ilfov Transport Company, which reopens line 780 Basarab Station – Henri Coandă International Airport, on which 3 buses, in the time interval 23:50 – 04:32, with departures from Basarab Station, respectively AIHC, at a successive interval of 40 minutes.
