The famous ITB Berlin 2022 tourist exhibition will not take place for the third year in a row. According to a press release on the exhibition's website, ITB Berlin 2022 will once again take place in digital format, although the organizers hoped that the main European tourist event could be organized with a physical presence.

Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic continues to put pressure on medical systems, and Omicron is worrying authorities. In this context, all events with a physical presence were canceled in Germany, including ITB Berlin 2022.

"We are very sad to inform you that our face-to-face meeting will not take place as originally planned. The Berlin authorities made this decision because of travel restrictions, exacerbated by the coronavirus epidemic and restrictions on major events. We have made every effort to organize ITB Berlin as a one-to-one event. The industry especially needs guidance, inspiration and dialogue. But the exhibition will take place online", Said the organizers of the exhibition.

ITB Berlin is expected to return with a physical presence, having already been scheduled for March 8, 2023, in the standard format. Keep in mind that ITB Berlin was one of the first canceled coronavirus exhibitions in early March 2020. In 2021, the exhibition took place online.
