The payment of the toll at Feteşti - Cernavodă is temporarily suspended starting from June 1, 2023, until the rehabilitation works of the bridge over the Borcea branch are completed, but not later than August 31, 2023, informs, on Tuesday, the National Road Infrastructure Administration Company ( CNAIR).
"On Tuesday, 30.05.2023, it was published in the Official Gazette of Romania no. 476/2023 Order no. 1.178/2023 regarding the establishment of exemptions from the provisions of the Order of the Minister of Transport no. 1.836/2018 for the approval of tariffs applied by the National Road Infrastructure Administration Company SA.
Thus, in order to streamline traffic during the summer season, it was decided to suspend the application of the toll fee for the use of the bridges over the Danube between Feteşti and Cernavodă starting from June 01, 2023 until the completion of the rehabilitation works of the Bridge over the Borcea arm, but no later than 31 August 2023", says a press release from CNAIR.
"The Feteşti bridge toll will be suspended certainly from June 1, for a period I hope as short as possible, until the rehabilitation works of the bridge, on the Borcea arm, are finished”, declared, on May 16, the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Sorin Grindeanu, at the Parliament Palace.
Thus, in order to streamline traffic during the summer season, it was decided to suspend the application of the toll for the use of the bridges over the Danube between Fetești and Cernavodă starting from June 1, 2023 until the completion of the rehabilitation works of the bridge over the Borcea arm, but no later than 31 August 2023, CNAIR representatives stated.
