The bridge over the Danube, from Brăila - Golden Gate of Romania, was inaugurated

The bridge over the Danube from Brăila - nicknamed the Golden Gate by Romania - is inaugurated today. The works, which cost half a billion euros, were finished two years late. The connecting roads are not ready yet. But the ribbon will be cut, in a ceremony attended by President Klaus Iohannis. The Ministry of Transport promises that in the next 5 years drivers will not pay a toll to cross the bridge.

The Brăila suspension bridge, the third largest in Europe and the largest infrastructure investment of the last 30 years, is inaugurated today, July 6, in the presence of President Klaus Iohannis. Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu also participates in the inauguration ceremony; the President of the Senate Nicolae Ciucă, as well as the Minister of Transport Sorin Grindeanu and other guests.
