The fire at Luton Airport in London affected 18 passengers!

Following a fire in the car park at London Luton Airport, flights have been suspended until 15:00 on Wednesday 11 October 2023. The authorities estimate that around 125 flights have been cancelled, affecting around 18 passengers. Wizz Air flights from / to Bucharest were also affected.

In the current situation of force majeure, passengers are not eligible for compensation, but airlines are obliged to reroute passengers and even provide them with support and, if necessary, accommodation until the next flight.

We remind you that on the morning of October 11, a violent fire engulfed the multi-storey car park at London Luton Airport, leading to the closure of the airport and suspension of flights for a few hours. The authorities intervened with dozens of special units and hundreds of firefighters to isolate and extinguish the fire. It is estimated that there were approximately 1200 cars in the parking lot at that time.

Air passenger traffic is currently back to normal from/to London Luton!
