Passenger air traffic in Romania in the first semester: 8.96 million passengers!

According to the Romanian Airport Association, the first semester of 2022 brought 8.96 million passengers through airports in Romania. That's a 119% increase from the first semester of 2022, but down 17% from the first semester of 2019.

After the first 6 months of 2022, Henri Coandă International Airport Bucharest is leading the way with 5429707 passengers, and at the opposite pole is Tulcea airport with only 124 passengers.

Avram Iancu Cluj-Napoca International Airport is in the first position among regional airports with 1060482 passengers, being the only airport that has so far exceeded the threshold of 1 million passengers. Iasi airport ranks second among regional airports with 690763 passengers. While "Traian Vuia" Timisoara International Airport is in third place among regional airports with only 499738 passengers.
