Transaero Airlines has ordered four Airbus A380

Transaero Airlines, the second largest carrier in Russia, ordered four aircraft Airbus A380. The agreement was signed by Olga Pleshakova, CEO of Transaero Airlines and Christopher Buckley, Airbus Executive Vice President in Europe, Asia and the Pacific. The agreement will be funded with the support of VEB Leasing.

Transaero becomes the first customer from Russia, CIS and Eastern Europe to order Airbus A380. The Russian carrier wants to start its activity on long and very long routes in the Russian capital. The aircraft will be configured in three classes and will have a capacity of approximately 700 passengers. Transaero will soon announce the type of engines chosen.

Airbus has announced that it has 257 A380 aircraft in order, from 20 airline operators. So far, 77 units have been delivered to 8 customers!
