The latest Airbus A310 Azores Airlines has been withdrawn (Video)
On October 15, Azores Airlines withdrew the latest Airbus A2018 from its fleet. Thus ended a period of 310 years with this type of aircraft in the carrier fleet in the Azores.
When TAROM gave up the 2 Airbus A310 aircraft, there were voices that criticized the Romanian carrier's action and mentioned that there are still airlines with this type of aircraft in the fleet. Ironic they wondered how profitable they are and TAROM is not.
The reality on the ground is quite different. More and more airlines have dropped Airbus A310 for economic reasons. Even Azores Airlines withdrew the last A310 from the fleet. The withdrawal event took place on 15 October 2018.

After 19 years, the last A310 (CS-TGV) Azores Airlines (named S. Miguel) operated the last commercial flight. This is flight S4124, on the route Ponta Delgada - Lisbon. The aircraft took off from the Azores more than 30 minutes late. Azores Airlines owned 5 such aircraft.
